You may get tired of politics, but the sad truth is that politics will never get tired of you.
We have entered another election year, and the temptation may be to step away from the unpleasantness that always comes with a presidential election. But as people of faith, we do not have that luxury.
That’s because politics have started to affect culture and society at every level. Even a county councilman or school board member has the ability to perpetuate dangerous, anti-American indoctrination in our schools. And at the national level, the President and Congress have the ability to uphold our values or persecute them.
In recent years, we have watched our values be subverted again and again – the push for the LGTBQ agenda, the erasure of womanhood, the attack on the family, the embrace of critical race theory … the list goes on and on. These happen because those in power (including politicians) have enabled them. And by electing leaders who don’t care or are in favor of these policies, we are allowing it to continue.
The Lord has a way of dealing with bad rulers and unrighteous nations, and it is not pleasant. That is why we are called to both pray and take action for the future of our country.
That’s right – we must do both. We must pray for our nation and for its leaders. And we must act to uphold our beliefs and demand better from those who would lead us. We cannot sit back and allow the country to turn its back on God’s teaching. We must stand for what’s right.
Throughout the year, CAAP will be helping to spread the word and show Christians what is at stake in this election. But we need your help. Newsletters, events, and even organizing meetings cost money. We need the funds to be effective in our efforts to speak truth and expose the Left’s lies.
