In January 2020, Rep. Julia Brownley (D-CA) introduced HR 94, the “Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act of 2019.”

As the title indicates, the purpose of this bill is to erase language referring to “husbands” and “wives” from federal law, replacing it with genderless language like “spouse” or “married couple.”

This is an example of the endless campaign to change our culture by attacking language. It’s part of a broader effort to force people to use “preferred pronouns” and otherwise erase all references to biological gender and traditional marriage … all in the name of forwarding a radical Leftist agenda.

Tell Congress to stop meddling with our language and oppose this bill by signing the petition below!

We, the undersigned, oppose HR 94, the “Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act of 2019” and any other attempts to introduce politically correct language into our law and discourse. We ask you to vote against this bill and any others that attempt to remove the language of traditional marriage and biological gender from the U.S. Code.
