Today is the day when we celebrate our freedom and everything that makes America great.
Every Independence Day is meaningful, but this one feels just a little bit better. Perhaps it’s the thought of how many unborn Americans will live to celebrate future holidays with us, thanks to the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
Or maybe it’s the reminder that our system of government may falter at times, and we may have reverses (be they political, judicial, or something else), but in the end, the principles of our Constitution will prevail.
Whatever the reason, I could not be happier today to wish you all a Happy Fourth of July and to say that we truly live in a nation where every person is endowed by God with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
