Dr. Alveda King is an activist, an author, a performer, and a long-time friend of our ministry. If you have not yet had the chance to hear her speak, you might not know much about her yet. You might not be familiar with the way she applies Biblical teaching to the challenges facing our culture today.
Even if you do know of Alveda’s work, it might have been some time since you last saw her speak or heard her powerful message of life and faith. But when you do hear her, you’ll understand immediately why we knew she was the perfect person to speak at CAAP’s upcoming Standing in the Gap Benefit Luncheon.
For example, her recent video on critical race theory reminds us that there is no such thing as a “black race, red race, brown race, or yellow race.” There is only one race – the human race.
Dr. Alveda King has been standing in the gap for Christian principles for many years. Her work in defense of the unborn has made her an icon of the pro-life movement. Along with a handful of other political thinkers, she constantly challenges the racially-based politics of the far Left.
