The far left, with its embrace of Marxism, critical race theory, and socialist policies, wants to ignore the American Dream. They want people to forget about it or speak of it as if it is an illusion.

But you and I know that the American Dream is still very real and very much alive. At its core are the principles of fairness, justice, and equality – of ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

That’s why I was thrilled to learn that Dr. Alveda King, a longtime ally of CAAP as well as a very good friend, has been named as the new chairman of the Center for the American Dream.

The announcement was made last week at the America First Gala. The Center for the American Dream is a project of America First Policy Institute, and will work to advance policies that enhance civil rights, human dignity, and the sanctity of life. In short, Dr. King is continuing the legacy of her uncle, the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as she works to ensure that every citizen can pursue the American dream. I honestly cannot think of anyone who is better suited to this important mission.

This announcement makes it even more imperative that you move quickly to secure your tickets to this week’s Standing in the Gap Benefit Luncheon, which will feature Dr. Alveda King as our keynote speaker. The luncheon is on Friday, Nov. 12 in Houston, Texas, and there are still a few seats available. Just go here to purchase tickets

CAAP and the Center for the American Dream will be standing in the gap to preserve our most cherished values. I hope you will join us as we work to put our country on the right path.
