The very meaning of womanhood is under attack. That’s why women need to come together to support each other and affirm Christian femininity.
As I wrote in a recent article for Katy Christian Magazine, it is up to us – ordinary women of faith – to defend the principle of womanhood:
“Unlike the ivory tower academics, radical activists, or celebrity dilettantes that so often claim to speak for womanhood, we are the ones who know and understand womanhood as it is lived every day. We do not hate men or carry resentment against a vague “patriarchy.” We have husbands, fathers, and sons whom we love. We do not see the world as a battle of the sexes, but as a joint challenge that requires men and women to work together for the betterment of all.
The rise of transgenderism and the erasure of womanhood isn’t a political or academic exercise for us. It is a real danger to our families and our way of life. It is our daughters who are being unfairly treated in the world of athletics. Our locker rooms, bathrooms, and domestic violence shelters that are being invaded. Our children who are being indoctrinated in radical ideology. Our way of life that is being dismantled to accommodate a vocal and aggressive minority.”
That’s why I urge you to reserve your seat at the upcoming Journey to Joy Ladies Brunch Space is limited, but there is still time left to get tickets, become a sponsor, or purchase seats for someone else!
The brunch will take place at 11a.m. on Thursday, June 23rd, at Palacio Maria in Katy, Texas. For more information, you can visit our website. Tickets are $50 each and can be bought online via credit card, PayPal, or bank draft (both e-check and savings payments). Please note that we are still in the process of our official name change, so your receipt will say “Coalition of African American Pastors.”
Last year, I spoke about what Christians need to know about Pride Month. Given that the assault on womanhood is coming from the LGBTQ+ extremists, I think it’s important to revisit that message as we prepare for the upcoming event. You can watch it below or on YouTube.
Christian women need the tools required to stand up against the erasure of womanhood and the indoctrination of children. More than that, we need time for inspiration and self-reflection. That’s what the Journey to Joy Brunch is all about.
The theme of the brunch is “Roadmap: Knowing Who You Are,” and we will talk about womanhood and self-knowledge with reference to scripture and our Christian faith. For an element of fun, we’re encouraging attendees to wear their favorite Derby attire as well..
If you want to help support the brunch (and similar events), we have multiple sponsorship opportunities, ranging from high-level featured sponsorships to general donations and ticket purchases for those who would not otherwise be able to attend. For more information about sponsorships and donations, please go to this page.
This is a challenging time to be a woman. Don’t you (or a woman in your life) deserve a day of inspiration to embark on a journey to joy?
